This resulted from an application in 2018 for an internal UFMG call where it won an \u201cInternational Professorship.\u201d The selected candidate was Professor Sergio Villamayor Tomas (<a href=\"https:\/\/ictaweb.uab.cat\/personal_detail.php?id=4066\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/ictaweb.uab.cat\/personal_detail.php?id=4066<\/a>) from ICTA in Barcelona, who will be a visiting professor in our program for a period of up to three years starting in 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the four-year period, we welcomed student Ivo Verhaar from Avans University in the Netherlands (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.avans.nl\/international\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.avans.nl\/international<\/a>), who completed his internship as part of the Biobased Brazil Program. His work at PPG-AMSA was integrated into the Long-Term Ecological Studies Program (PELD) taking place in the Rio Doce State Park (PERD), MG.
