Fire – Methodology
The EcoFire (Economic Cost of Fire) model is designed to estimate the economic losses to sustainable logging of native forests in the Amazon.
Hydrological Services – Methodology
We mapped the benefits or values of hydrological services from the Amazon rainforest. These include an “origin value map”, that is, a spatial representation of the values stemming from the intrinsic or physical characteristics of individual patches of forest in terms of where services originate as well as a “destination value map”, corresponding to plots of land where these objects (services, etc.) are actually valued.
