The CSR offers both on-site and remote access modalities to its users. All users are subject to and must comply with these Usage Guidelines, considering the way they use the infrastructure: physically or virtually.
1. GENERAL RULES
- No CSR data files may be externally shared or provided to visitors without prior authorization from the CSR coordinator;
- Network and database user passwords are personal and non-transferable;
- The use of USB flash drives is not permitted, except when authorized by the network and database administrators. Files to be shared internally must use the “temp” directory on the LEDA server. For external users, please use our FTP server or email;
- No software may be installed or downloaded onto CSR computers without prior authorization from the network and database administrators;
- No data may be written into projects stored on the LEDA server without metadata (according to the CSR’s own metadata model, which may be obtained from the Geoprocessing team);
- Computers that do not belong to the CSR but are connected to the wired network must have an installed and updated antivirus software;
- Data to be incorporated into “projetos_CSR” on the LEDA server must be previously communicated to the Geoprocessing team so that the transfer can be supervised according to the CSR data usage protocol;
- The air conditioning in the rooms must always remain set to 23°C in order to preserve the equipment. If there is a justified reason for turning it off, keep the door closed so that the equipment in the other rooms is not overloaded due to temperature compensation;
- When reserving a workstation/desk/cubicle for activities, users must ensure attendance and regular use as previously agreed; otherwise, the space may be reassigned to another colleague without prior notice.
2. INTERNAL ACCESS RULES
- Access to the laboratory is granted through personal and non-transferable passwords. If you do not yet have a password, request one from a CSR coordinator/advisor by email through a formal request containing your full name, phone number, email address, identification document, and Lattes CV link;
- Please note that, on business days, the laboratory operates from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If it is necessary to remain outside these hours, the CSR may remain open depending on availability. In such cases, check with one of the authorized users to confirm until what time the laboratory will remain accessible;
- Users with access to the alarm application must always disarm the alarm upon entering and arm it upon leaving;
- Key holders must always check all windows, doors, and lights before leaving the CSR, locking the door using both tetra-key locks.
3. MINI FRIDGE USAGE GUIDELINES
- All food items must be labeled with the name of the owner/person responsible (this prevents someone from accidentally consuming items that do not belong to them). Containers must always remain closed;
- Do not leave food in the mini fridge for several days in order to avoid unpleasant odors inside the appliance and the CSR. All perishable items will be discarded at the end of the day on Fridays;
- If you make a mess, clean it immediately. Cleaning supplies are available inside the pantry cabinet.
4. PANTRY USAGE GUIDELINES
- Avoid spills on the floor and countertops. If spills occur, use the cleaning supplies available in the cabinet;
- Do not leave dirty cutlery, cups, or other items on the counter. If you use it, wash it;
- Keep the countertop area organized at all times, without open packaging or scattered items;
- Wash the thermal coffee pot before brewing filtered coffee if it is still dirty from the previous day;
- Dispose of coffee filters and any organic waste in the IGC hallway trash bins to avoid unpleasant odors and insects inside the laboratory;
- Supplies for making filtered coffee or tea are stored in the cabinet and are for shared use;
- Feel free to bring your own coffee capsules and use the coffee machine. Immediately after use, dispose of the capsule in the trash bin next to the machine to prevent liquid from leaking into the regular trash.
