Gathering satellite images and the history of hot spots in the past few days, our team helped the Serra do Cipó National Park to find possible origins of the fires that have hit the Park since the night of September 27, 2020.

On August 27, 2020, occurred the first training on how to use the online tool of the Fire Spreading Model for Brazilian Savannah. Presented by Dr. Ubirajara Oliveira, the training took place remotely and had the participation of 12 people.

Training course on the Fire Spreading Model: IGC-UFMG
On December 6, at the Institute of Geosciences of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, the training course for the use of the Fire Spreading Model was carried out, as a result of the project FIP – Cerrado Monitoring. The course was presented by researcher Ubirajara Oliveira for an audience of 20 people.
