Simulations
A spatially explicit model that simulates fire spread predicts the fire behavior from an ignition source given a set of environmental variables.
The mode runs automatically three times a day for the three selected parks and for the entire Cerrado biome based on the ignition points (hotpixels) made available by INPE-Queimadas.
The simulation of fire propagation for planning the prevention and combat of forest fires is available for the National Parks of Serra do Cipó, Serra da Canastra and Chapada dos Veadeiros. In the following videos, one can observe simulation results.
